Senior Development Communication Expert – Minister for Planning, Development and Reform – Islamabad

The Government of Pakistan is a federal government established by the Constitution of Pakistan as a constituted governing authority of the four provinces of a proclaimed and established parliamentary democratic republic, constitutionally called the State of Pakistan.

Senior Development Communication Expert Required:
A Leading public sector organization entrusted with the task of development, planning and policy making of the country seeks to engage services of a leading Development Communications Specialist for promoting development agenda in the country in partnership with the media and civil society. Senior professionals with passion for development are urged to apply.

Qualification:
– Minimum Masters Degree in the Communications / MBA from nationally/ internationally reputed HEC recognized university. Age less than 60 years.

Experience:
– Minimum 15 years of distinguished professional career at national/international level including 5-10 years of managerial experience at senior level in Communications and Campaigns.
– Experience of working with Media (Electronic, Print and Social).
– Experience in strategic planning, brand management, strategic communications, social media.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
– Understanding of development sector and MDGs (Millennium Development Goals). Understanding of Public Sector and National issues. Good time management and decision making skills. Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral). Excellent PR and issues management skills. Proven track record of communications campaigns in electronic and print media.

Job Description:
– The Senior Development Communication Expert will be responsible for;
– Developing a communication strategy for the developmental issues.
– Projecting and disseminating information on all the development projects undertaken by the Government.
– Countering and responding to any misconceptions and queries on development projects/sectors.
– Creating a substantial space of development issues in the National media and discourse.
– Working on branding and image perception of Pakistan on the international level,
– Managing social media and external communications.

Tenure:
– The initial contract shall be for a period of two years which is extendable.
