Ali Institute of Education was established in 1992 by a distinguished family trust with the primary objective of providing effective teachers to the schools of Pakistan. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) also initially supported this endeavour.
Since 1992, the Ali Institute has grown in prestige and has developed a wider focus on improving the quality of education in Pakistan. At the Ali Institute, we believe that teachers are agents of change, able to transform education in Pakistan. To realise this vision, the Ali Institute offers programmes of study, short courses and workshops in initial teacher education and continuing professional development, consultancy and development services, promotes research, dialogue and advocacy, regularly publishes a research journal, and supports community links and outreach for the education community.
The AIE Campus has large modern classrooms, beautiful gardens, a sports field, a modern and large auditorium for events and formal functions, a well-stocked and renowned library of education, students’ lounge, a cafeteria, girls’ hostels (Perwin Hall and Mubarik Begum Hall), language lab, IT lab, AV lab, science labs and a bookshop.

Ali Institute of Education (AIE) is a degree awarding institute (DAI) dedicated entirely to education. We offer pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes, publications for teachers and schools, materials and resource development, project management and consultancy, and advocacy/ knowledge advancement events for teachers. We are establishing a reputation for excellence, expertise and innovation.
AIE is looking for dynamic, creative teaching professionals to add to its team of highly-skilled teacher-educators.
Positions available:
Ph.D. in Education (from any HEC-recognised university or DAI)
Lecturer in Education or English Language Teaching (M.A./ M.Phil 1st division from any HEC-recognised university or DAI)
Trainer/ Coordinator (Minimum degree level + relevant experience matching the requirements of AIE’s diverse, expanding portfolio of work in education).
Dean (Senior Management) All full-time and visiting faculty working at the Ali Institute on its degree programmes
International Baccalaureate (IB)
We are seeking an IB leader with experience of guiding a school through the IB authorisation and implementation process.
